10 Things I Love Doing In London With My Toddler
and (technically) not even one soft play included! Cultured? Me? You got it, baby!
In the last few years, one thing I have become exceptionally good at (other than reciting the words to Mamma Mia! 2, developing the capability to do a one woman musical performance of Les Mis to my unfortunate loved ones and nearly-aways being able to do accents on cue), is having a little black book of tried-and-tested toddler friendly spots in and around the capital which pretty much *always* make for a good day out (it’s worth noting that a toddler is obviously not essential to visit any of these spots- they’re all gorgeous and adult friendly too)!
There are a handful of tricky things about parenting, and sometimes finding somewhere worth carrying the kitchen sink across London to is definitely up there. The risk to reward ratio can be wholly unpredictable (what will trains be like?! will it be packed? will there be a meltdown over a potential gift shop sighting?!), so I thought I’d share a handful of spots I always come back to, across a range of budgets- so whether you’re looking for a day that just consists of a really great green space, a wholesome afternoon vegetable picking (that doesn’t involved any failed home-attempted seedlings) or an injection of culture in one of the city greats, I have your back!
