In London as we hit the second consecutive week of blue skies and daffodils, with the petals of blossoms being the only showers I’ve seen fall so far (I KNOW, this sounds too good to be true) as well as mini eggs making a formal reintroduction as a societally acceptable snack (okay, okay whenever where they not)- it’s safe to say we are very much getting a Nora Ephron directed version of spring right now. So when better than to create a soundtrack for it? Lean into the romance a little! Why on earth not!
Tried and tested on supermarket run car journeys, weary end of day train trips when the sun catches it’s own reflection on the edges of London’s most cosmopolitan new builds and jogs between meetings on the walkway between the Victoria line at Kings Cross and the main station exit (which, if you’ve done this- will know has the power to feel like a catwalk with the right song). These songs also pair well with sleepy grey mornings where you crave a jump out of bed like this as well as finally light evenings where you need kitchen cooking company that isn’t the hum of the news or a rumble of dishes washing either.
