How I imagine I look listening as Sara Cox begins her 4pm weeknight slot

Before I went through the big ol’ breakup a couple of years ago, there were two things I'd never really done before…

One of those was live alone. Having grown up in the leafy London suburbs, a stone’s throw away from central London, with a relationship to my family so close that one ex boyfriend once described us as a ‘cheerio family’ (unsure of that one, but I think there was a compliment hidden in there somewhere) and being someone almost perpetually scared of their own shadow (weirdly not something I brag about often), if we sidestep the few months of living away during a short stint at university- I was, and remain, a homebody through and through.

The other, was listen to the radio much.
