Diary Of A Sentimental Heart: Part 5.
and the one where I ripped off the sticky old dating plaster and entered 'THE SCENE'*!

*use of scene being the arrival onto the app store announced largely in Whatsapp groups with I ‘I’M DOING IT’
We're here.
The dating chapter! My GOD. Did I ever think I'd be writing this. Did I FUDGE*. Having been in a relationship since I was 15, and then married (which moved and grew through the evolution of dating apps)- although I wasn't naive to the fact life can change, I didn't have it on my ‘Liv’s Life Bingo!’ card that I'd be hitting up Hinge before I turned 30- but here we are! My inner Carrie Bradshaw was ready to be unleashed! Typing on my laptop by my bedroom window would never look the same again! I would be out there- experiencing IT! (whatever IT was)! Beckenham was my new Brooklyn! Mitcham was the new Manhattan! I could play 'Made You Look' and learn the dance as I got ready and wear slinky dresses and be cool and deeply mysterious (all simultaneously)! And it was all completely, wholly, entirely possible!
*reminder to never use fudge instead of fuck when trying to sound carefree and cool ever again.
