Five Songs To Start Your Week With

Good starts to the week include but are not limited to: A fancy new granola in the food shop that cost less than a fiver! Seeing that the sun has finally come out to start the week! Realising you don’t have to strip the bed today! Knowing you did the washing last night! Plus, as well as the promise of pre-baked oats and a promising weather forecast, there are few things that set me up for a shiny new week like a collection of new songs that I am eager to listen to. Songs that my son and I can plug into the car radio whilst we do the nursery run, or something I can pop the video on to whilst I rush my make up. Even the thrill of opening Spotify and realising I have a handful of new saved tracks makes the five minutes of emptying the dishwasher feel less like an endurance test and a sweet period of mindless singing (with intermittent shape cutting) as I do something that needs to be done. So, without further waffling, here are five songs I’m starting the week with (and have been on repeat since last week too)…

P.S Just to manage expectations, I’m sure you’re not expecting cutting edge Pitchfork style new releases or songs you haven’t heard from The Next Big Thing (because I very much often only discover these things after they are A Big Thing- lookin’ at you Neil!!!! Hohoho) but these are just a funny old assortment of what I truly deem, the good stuff.
