The best new music & songs I *cannot* and *will not* stop playing
Look, I’m not telling you that you have to listen to these, but you'd be missing out if you didn't

Typically, when I think of April I think of: daffodils, bulbs, elusive Waitrose Easter eggs, the celebratory occasion that is the first wash of the year you can hang on the line, small seeds, excited buds and the flash in the pan that is Magnolia season. But this year April, and the start of spring has been a cracking time for music.
Admittedly, I’m not as hot on new music releases as I was once upon a time (I’m normally at least two years late to most trending audio tracks if that is any marker) but the fizz and excitement of knowing that one of my favourite artists has a new record out, or discovering something new on the radio whilst cooking dinner in the kitchen never gets old.
So! To share some of the best things my ears have heard over the last month, I thought I’d share with you the songs that I truly keep on spinning (nope I’m not sure anyone says that either). The records on repeat and the tracks that will inevitably be creeping into my Spotify Wrapped come December. There have been so many wonderful new albums this month, and although I am in no position to be suggesting that I could even be a very, very poor woman’s Pitchfork; I thought I’d pick out a handful that I think you’ll love just as much as I do…
Bon Iver - Everything Is Peaceful Love
This is the kind of song my boyfriend and I have been SHOUT singing in the car over the last couple of weeks. The absolute JOY of it. What a song to make you feel hopeful about things. And DAMNN if i’m not climbing up that tree!!
Black Country, New Road - Two Horses
This whole album has a gloriously weird, communal witchy strangeness to it with tracks that truly take you somewhere. It’s coven like and I want to be part of it. There’s something romantic and medieval about this song in particular (which feels like listening to a whole novella) and I literally cannot get enough of it.
