The Not-Quite New Season Wishlist
some inspiration, comfort and a heart-to-heart about when getting dressed feels difficult

I’ve reached the point of the year/my life where I categorically know there are gaps in my wardrobe. Tiny little fashion-shaped potholes that I encounter often, that given repair would make getting dressed simpler and more enjoyable. I suppose that’s a normal thing given that we’re creeping, ever so slowly towards the edge of winter and the start of spring. The crocuses and snowdrops surely symbolise nothing but the beginning of an important search for a new pair of ballet flats and the return of impractical basket-as-full-time-bag season! I know that it’s normal to have an itch for change in line with the seasons; but I also know that I’m at an age where I feel like I should know the inner functionings of my wardrobe like the veins on the back of my hand by now. Should be able to tell in a snap what I’m missing, what looks good and what colour brings THE GLOW to me rather than emphasise the new greys carefully framing the edges of my face.
