Call Off The Search! I've Found Some Great Trousers That Aren't Jeans!!!

I am a jeans girl through and through. I have waxed lyrical about it time and time again (mainly here; if you’d like to know my 5 ride or die pairs look no further) and there is not a week that goes by where a pair of Le Crop’s or Ribcage’s don’t creep into my day-to-day uniform. As mentioned, I am the weird woman who relaxes at home in 501’s. Finds comfort in a high waist and freshly pressed indigos and panics when bloat, TOTM (time of the month, girlies!!), body fluctuations or just- y’know, the craving of immense cosy comfort takes over. I know little else than a high waist! My styling is at sea if it is not evolving around some kick flares and a blue-wash!
But, BUT- I made it my mission to evolve for spring. To grow into a more rounded dresser, leave my indie-band frontman ways behind and have a wardrobe that could accommodate for more than just embracing my inner Springsteen and Fawcett and take me through to soft play, sofa slouching and days where softness comes first. All without sidelining personality and the seventies and retro nods that feel like the pillars of my personal style.
So off I went! From linen, barrel legs, gingham checks and back again. There is not a stretchy-waisted stone that I have left unturned in order to find some of the best trousers out there that marry both cool and comfortable. To move with our bodies and can be dressed up with some Mary Janes or down with a boyfriends t-shirt and trainers for a day of errands, slouching and still wanting to feel like you. Some seventies sailor jeans might still hold the key to my heart, but for the days when the top button is on the bench, I think I’ve found some good options…
